Lending Library Policies
Following are some guidelines that will help make the lending process more enjoyable for all:

  • Only approved members of the Autism Atlas Community will be allowed to borrow materials.

  • Please limit the number of items you ask to borrow to two items at a time.  
    ​​
  • There are no late fees associated with borrowing items from the lending library. We do ask, however, that you try to review/read the materials that you receive by the date shown on your packing slip (usually 60 days from mailing). If you need an extension, please contact us.

  • ​Shipping Charges:
    ​    Unfortunately, at this time we do not have funding to cover the cost of shipping library items, so the borrower is responsible for shipping charges.
    ​    In order to keep the cost of shipping as low as possible, we ship items via USPS First Class Mail or USPS Priority mail (whichever is cheaper), unless the borrower requests a different shipping option.  
    ​    The Borrower will cover the cost of shipping the materials back to Autism Atlas. 

    ​​Note: Borrowers in the Pittsburgh Area may be able to negotiate a pick up location, ​thus avoiding shipping ​charges.

  • Borrowers will be charged the replacement value of any lost or damaged materials.​
